It’s essential for any athlete to take good care of their body when it comes to injuries and, having had a variety of climbing related injuries, I have worked alongside Sano Physiotherapy to ensure my body is in the best shape it can be for competitions. Sano offer professional physiotherapy services, sports massage and sports injury rehabilitation throughout the North East,  Yorkshire and Midlands and they have supported me through a number of climbing specific injuries with their extensive knowledge and understanding.

Sano Physiotherapy are recognised by all major healthcare insurers, including BUPA, AXA PPP, Cigna, and Aviva.

The Lions are an international organisation established in 1917 with the aim of supporting local causes. There are over 46,000 local clubs across more than 200 different countries worldwide. My local Lions club in Sunderland was established in 1964 and is still incredibly active, having raised over £1 Million for local organisations and causes through their annual Boxing Day Dip.

As one of the GB Paraclimbing team’s sponsors, we regularly visit Oakwood Climbing Centre, Bracknell, for team training as it’s an amazing facility with an extensive bouldering area, high quality training facilities and roped/auto-belay area. The centre has a chilled out, spacious feel to it that ensures it is a comfortable place for climbers to both train and socialise.

With the largest comp wall in the UK, Oakwood does not cut corners with their setting, ensuring they have quality, comp style problems from some of the country’s best routesetters.

Also one of the GB Paraclimbing team sponsors, Quay Climbing Centre, Exeter, is home to 200 routes and a 14.5 metre steep lead wall. Quay is a wonderful facility for climbers to chill out and climb, with two bouldering caves, a large open roped section and wonderful food in The Workshop Café! One of the most exciting parts of this centre is their annual DWS (deep water solo) event on their dedicated DWS wall!
